2012 Officers and Directors

It’s not just for the uniform that they do it – far from it. Each year PCYC has members that “step up to the plate”. Notice how many “Past Commodore” flags are on this page? That’s not an anomaly.  Not at all. PCYC has a strong core of leadership and involvement, yet… we encourage new members to become active. To contribute. Then, at the bottom of this page, but at the top of our club, are the committee chairs. And they represent so many members. Each one contributing effort and talents.  Click here for a list of past commodores. PCYC is a club that depends on and thrives on… its membership.

Commodore :: Neil Bohnwagner

Neil has been an active member of PCYC since he joined in 1996.  Since joining, Neil has been involved in several committees and served as Vice Commodore in 2000 and Commodore in 2001 and 2002.  Neil, his wife Judy and their dogs Jake and Jenny live in Danvers and enjoy cruising on their 34’ Formula “First Lady” (named after Judy, the first female member of PCYC).

Vice Commodore :: Rich Morneau

Rich has been a member of PCYC for 35 years, was Commodore in 1989 and 2009, and has been boating for over 45 years. He grew up at the Club, and has a few tales to tell (like about his stowing awa

y on some members’ boats as a boy). Rich and Patti’s son, Matthew, is also a member of PCYC. Their boat, a 30′ SeaRay Weekender, is the Duke of Oil (in 1988 Richie and his brothers started Morneau Brothers Oil). He enjoys being with his family and just working around the club, helping with what ever needs to be done; in the summer, Richie enjoys sitting on his boat.

Rear Commodore :: Fred Pfeil

Fred is newly elected. Soon we will include a photo

Fred “Eric” Pfeil III is no stranger to boating; he has been on boats his entire life. He started coming to PCYC when his father joined the club in the early 90’s.  He enjoyed the club so much he decided to join at age 21.  His passion for boats does not stop there – he is a certified Master Tech for Yamaha Outboards.  Over the past few years, Fred has become more involved in the yacht club and even found love down on the docks. He is now engaged to Niki Currier, who is the daughter of a member. Together they are looking forward to a fun-filled year as Rear Commodore.

Secretary :: Bob Connors

Bob has been a member of PCYC since 1996 and served as Commodore in 2005. Vice Commodore in 2004, Rear Commodore in 2003, and on the Board of Directors in 1999. He lives in Tewksbury, Mass and spends many summer weekends aboard his 33′ sailboat “Serenity Lost.” Bob, his wife, Patty, and their son, Bobby, usually enjoy day sails in and around Salem harbor. Bob and Bobby also enjoy fishing the local waters.

Treasurer :: Tom Cassano

Tom has been a member of PCYC since 1986. He has served on both the Marina Committee for six years and the Finance Committee for two years. He has also served on the Board of Directors for two years before being elected Rear Commodore, Vice Commodore and Commodore. Tom spent 31 years with the FBI as a Special Agent and Special Agent Supervisor before retiring in 2001. He presently lives in Wakefield but spends much of his time aboard his 29′ Black Fin on Party Lane.
