Palmer’s Cove Yacht Club believes that boating and sailing should not be limited to the wealthy. For decades the members of PCYC have volunteered their time, skills, and talents to help keep the club a family friendly, affordable, and still fully equipped yacht club. We know of no other club in New England which has so much to offer at this price.

Our Marina…

PCYC’s marina is home to 165 boats. Slips are wait listed and can take between six to ten years to be assigned to a new member. While you wait for the permanent slip, PCYC offers easy access to your mooring by launch. Or, if you prefer, your dinghy or kayak can be kept at the docks beginning day one of your membership. Once you are called for a permanent slip, you will see that the wait was well worth it. 2023 slip fees are $28 per foot- this is almost one-third the cost of the next highest marina slip on the North Shore.

The location of PCYC is an ideal spot for easy access to Salem Harbor, Salem Sound, and beyond. No bridges, no miles of no wake area, and we are inside enough to be protected from all but the worst storms.

Ten first-come-first-dock slips are available for members for a few day stay. We also utilize all assigned slips that are empty for any reason so newer members can enjoy the docks from time to time. On top of this we offer a seven day reserved vacation slip for all non-slip members per year. There are also three temporary tie up slips for members to pick up friends and family, wash the boat, resupply, or have a drink or some food at the club’s bar and grill. Well behaved dogs are always welcome in the marina.

PCYC has two newer bathrooms with full showers and one is fully handicap accessible and available 24/7. We also have on-site ice vending and shore power. The docks are plumbed for fresh water and there is even a fish cleaning and station for those anglers in the group. We take pride in maintaining our floats to be safe and in sound working condition at all times.

Our Yard…

Palmer’s Cove Yacht Club offers ample parking. Our on-site parking areas hold one car per member easily most days. We also have sixty additional evening and weekend spots in our neighbor’s lot 50 yards away which has never filled up. All our parking is well lit and camera monitored.

Our yard holds dozens of boats for winter storage. Winter storage is also wait listed but well worth the wait.

PCYC also has a travel lift on site for hauling and launching boats or for temporary repairs or yard work. We also offer a newly refinished boat ramp for launching smaller boats and dinghies.

Our Clubhouse…

The clubhouse is the heart of any yacht club and ours is no exception. Visit with friends at the bar with a dark and stormy or order some steak tips, have a beer, and watch the game. PCYC’s bar and grill is a nice air conditioned break from the summer heat and a warm toasty spot to sit by the fire in the winter.

Our membership hall doubles as a rental function room for private events and parties for our members. In 2021 we used the slow and limited occupancy required time to remodel much of the club. We installed new sliding doors to the deck and replaced almost all the club's windows. We also used the down time to replace the furnace, convert to gas, and install a new AC and heat units on the roof. The bar and lounge side of the club is open year round and hosts dozens of events throughout the year like the Blessing of the Fleet, 4th of July, Memorial and Labor Day parties, tailgate BBQs, movie nights, lobster bakes, formal dinners, informal dance parties, pot lucks, trivia, karaoke, children’s Christmas with Santa, the Chelsea Soldier’s Home lunch and party, and on and on. Our large sunny deck on the water is a great place to enjoy the day reading a book or having a cocktail. We have grills available to cook your own food and have been known to have live bands outside for some really great summer deck parties.

Our bar is a fully stocked bar with a bartender on staff from 11am until closing. Members can sign in as many guests as they please. The bar serves lighter meals such as burgers and steak tips and chicken sandwiches.

Just down the ramp from the deck is our beautiful new tiki bar built in 2018 which has played a role in some of the fun events we've recently had.
